Il y parfois des gens qui parviennent à allier deux passions. C’est le cas notamment de Gérard Bertrand qui vient de lancer son vin « Léopard » entre rugby et oenologie. Un mariage plus que surprenant!

Gérard Bertrand est un ex-joueur de rugby à haut niveau. Il était capitaine du Stade Français Paris (groupe B) en 1994. C’est aussi un passionné de vin qui est aujourd’hui à la tête de plusieurs domaines das le Sud, en Languedoc (Domaine Cigalus, Domaine de Villemajou, Château l’Hospitalet, etc.). Avant d’être vigneron, l’homme a été producteur et négociant en vin. En 2009, il a l’idée d’asocier ses deux passions, le rugby et le vin, en créant avec Max Guazzini (le président du Stade) une collection de cuvées faisant référence aux maillots du Stade Français. Ce mariage oenologique haut en couleur a donné naissance à « Fleur de Lys », un chardonnay, et à « Foule », un mélange de cépages du Sud (Grenache, Syrah et Mourvèdre). Aujourd’hui, il vient de lancer l’édition 2010 de cette collection avec la cuvée « Léopard », un vin 100% grenache, un cépage propre au rosé léger et fruité. La bouteille aborde un look design et amusant avec un habillage rose fuchsia et des impressions léopards noires. C’est un vin à déguster entre 10 et 12° sur des grillades, de plats épicés ou des rougets grillés. Vous pourrez la trouver dans la restauration, chez les cavistes ou encore en grandes surfaces pour un prix d’environ 8,95€.

In the late 1920's, an actress (German, Polish, or Czech depending on the source) named Maria Lani arrived on the Paris art scene. She convinced over 50 artists to paint her portrait on the pretext that they would be used in a horror movie in which she was starring about painting that come to life. In November 1930, the paintings were exhibited at gallery and a catalog of the exhibition was created which included an introduction by Jean Cocteau part of which reads: "Every time I look away she changes... what a hypnotic force the woman has."

The only problem was Lani was a stenographer from Prague (or Warsaw), not an actress and there was no movie. Lani took all the painting that didn't sell at the exhibition and fled to America where many more were sold. By wartime, Lani worked at the Stage Door Canteen in New York, a sort of dance hall for servicemen on leave where they could be entertained by celebrities. After the war she returned to Paris where she died in 1954.

Totte is studying to become an Athletic teacher for college students in Växjö, Sweden.
Last we spoke
after a he had experienced a hellish automn
(no place of his own, no study loan...)
he was at ease and very happy
as he had managed all his exams,
finally had his own flat at campus
and great new fellow students & friends to party with.
