I wanted to smile and see these 10 meter high/tall inflatable bears in Avoriaz  (a 45 minute drive from here) this fantastic sunny Saturday, around +14° C, but H said no. He won't drive me. He is not up to strolling. Claims always hating it. How he gets high on saying NO to things I suggest. I just want a break from the chalet and work... H could have read in the sun and I could have wandered on my own so it's NOT the strolling bit. It's enjoying something or being seen with me.

"go green" bracelets

Heavy metal vegan cooking: sushi
  • 1 cup medium or short grain sushi rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 hothouse cucumber
  • 4 sheets nori seaweed wraps
  • Faux chicken strips
  • Soy sauce, for serving, optional
  • Wasabi, for serving, optional

Prepare the sushi rice by combining 1 cup uncooked rice in a covered saucepan with 1 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed. Remove from the heat and let stand covered, for 10 more minutes. Mix in the seasoned rice vinegar and let cool to room temperature.

Peel the carrot and cucumber and slice into long, thin pieces. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and peel off the outside. Cut the avocado into thin slices.

Place 1 nori sheet, rough-side facing up, on a bamboo mat or sheet of waxed paper. Using a bamboo paddle or spoon, flatten a 1/8-inch thick layer of rice over the nori, leaving the furthest edge from you bare. Keep the paddle or spoon wet, this helps spread the rice easily. Lay equal amounts carrot, cucumber, avocado, and faux chicken strips horizontally across the rice, about a 1/4-length of the nori away from you. A small amount wasabi can also be spread across the rice.

To roll the sushi:
Start with thumbs underneath the closest edge of the bamboo mat or wax paper. Lift up with thumbs, and use the index and middle fingers to push the top edge of the nori down and around the ingredients. Cook's Note: Keeping fingers wet will help prevent them from sticking to the nori. Pull the bamboo mat or waxed paper away from the nori as you roll away from yourself. Once the sushi is rolled tightly, use wet fingers to moisten the outside of the bare edge of the nori, this will help seal the roll. Repeat all steps with the remaining ingredients.

Use a serrated knife to cut the sushi roll into 1-inch thick slices. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi, if using.

Feeling lonely?

Are you looking for a girlfriend?
South Korea developer Nabix could be your break from a lonely-free lifestyle.

For $1.99, Mina will make video-calls four times a day, showering subscribers with a message of bliss from 100 available. With recorded messages such as  "Good night, sweet dreams" and "Are you sleeping?" "It's time for breakfast!" It would help subscribers feel someone cares for them and is consistently thinking of them.

Kim Yoon-Kak, head of Nabix  claims that "Honey It's Me!" raked in 80,000 downloads a day when it was originally launched as a free app on November 30, however he admitted that usage has declined since the $1.99 fee was set in place. Kim plans to allow free downloads again starting this week.

Although the app is currently only available in South Korea, Nabix plans to launch "Honey It's Me!" worldwide with English, Chinese and Japanese messages packed in two versions: the current free model and a $1.99 version offering longer messages.

Nabix also plans to release an Android version.

Voodoo spells
To believe or not to believe...
If you wanna try...

Source: various
◦    Write the name of the person on a piece of parchment/paper, fold it twice. Take a lime and cut it twice, once diagonally and once horizontally, but don't cut it all the way into four pieces. Place the paper or parchment inside the lime and hold it together with two long steel nails. Place the lime into a clean glass jar and put into it some ash, salt and vinegar and screw the lid on tight. The ash and salt are supposed to thwart their efforts to cause you trouble of any kind, and the vinegar and lime should sour their own affairs at the same time.

Source: various
◦    There are several things you can do if you feel you have been "crossed" by someone:

- If you know who has put a crossed condition on you and you want to reverse the crossing onto them, burn a black candle after inscribing their name on the candle.

- If you don't know the name of the person who did this trick to you, carve the words "My Enemy" on the candle.

- You can also dress the candle (anoint it) with Uncrossing Oil.
◦    Once the candle burns down to a stub you can dispose of it by tossing it into the yard of the one you believe crossed you or just putting it in the trash.

Use this spell to uncorrupt a corrupt person.
This is actually a beneficial spell for them. Keep your thoughts pure and compassionate.
◦    Items needed for this spell:

Black candle
Sage smudge or incense
Photo of the person or something they have touched

Light the candle and use the sage smudge to clear negativity from the working.

Say the following:

Mountains in the north, earth beneath me
Three times three, let them see, let them see.
Winds of the east, blow through trees
Three times three, set them free, set them free.
Fires in the south, flames will be,
Three times three, let them see, let them see.
Waters of the west, flow to the sea,
Three times three, set them free, set them free.
◦    Results - the person will begin to see the error of their ways.

◦    Items needed for this spell:
◦    Originally the spell required a figural candle in the shape of the Devil of a Green male figure candle. It is fine to use those of course but it is just as easy to use a green 7 Day candle, which is the method I prefer.
◦    On the top of the 7 day candle inscribe the words: GET MY MONEY
◦    Anoint the candle with Compelling Oil.
◦    You can also use a piece of parchment with the person's name on it beneath the candle.
Say the following,
◦    I seek what is rightfully mine
 This I ask:
Until [Name of person] repays the debt owed
May they feel the sting of conscience
May they burn with the fire of remorse
May they remember the debt to me
Whenever they think of money Whenever they hear the word "money"
Whenever they see money

Whenever they touch money
GIVE ME THE MONEY YOU OWE ME, [Name of person],
or there will be no rest for you!
◦    Let the candle burn for 7 days straight.

◦    Other things you can do:
◦    - If you will see them in person, wear Compelling Oil.
◦    - If you write to them by mail, sprinkle Compelling Powder on the letter, drag your fingernails down through the powder in wavy "snake lines" and then blow the powder off the paper.
◦    - If you write to them by email or speak to them by phone, your opportunity for contact will be less, but at least wear Compelling Oil as you communicate electronically and be sure to state your request clearly and firmly.
◦    Results - the money should be repaid within the next moon cycle.

WARNING: this voodoo spell can come with consequences for the caster so please take care when considering to use this spell.

Items needed for the spell:

A black candle
Break Up Oil
Night Queen incense
A black head pin

This spell should be performed at midnight. Anoint the candle with the Break Up Oil. Light the incense. Prick the anointed candle 19 times with the head pin. Now light the candle and say the following:

I prick this candle, I prick at thee
Broken hearts unhappy be
May you part on this day
And go your separate ways.

◦    Let the candle burn for 7 minutes. Extinguish the candle. Let it cool down then  break it in half symbolizing and visualizing the splitting of the couple.
◦    Dispose of the two halves in separate trash containers once again visualizing them being
completely apart from each other.

◦    WARNING: this voodoo spell can come with consequences for the caster so please take care when considering to use this spell.
◦    This spell takes some fore-thought and chances are if you are thinking of something like this in the first place you should probably not be with this guy!
◦    You will need to save something with the male's sexual fluids on it (yes like Monica Lewinsky's dress). It is best if it is a cloth used for cleansing after sexual intercourse.
◦    If the man crosses you or causes harm to you in some fashion, you must take the cloth, tie it into three knots, each with a river stone inside the knot. You then need to go to a moving body of water and toss the knotted and weighted cloth into the water.
◦    It must be weighted so it will sink to the bottom of the moving body of water (a river is best) thus causing the male sexual impotence.

Items needed for the spell:

One piece of ribbon each in red, yellow and black
Photo of person you want to do your bidding (a red voodoo doll can be used too)
Red mojo bag
High John the Conqueror root
Damballah Wedo Oil

◦    Take three pieces of ribbon - one red, one yellow, and one black. Tie them together at one end then knot them three times repeating the name of the one you wish to do your bidding as you tie each one.
◦    You can use a doll, a photograph, or even a blank piece of paper cut to resemble a human figure. If you have a possession of the person you are attempting to influence, so much the better anything belonging to the one for whom the image is made. Hold the doll or image in your two hands in front of you, concentrate on the person involved, and chant, at least seven times -
◦    Damballah, may I (your name)
come out victorious in dealing with (the person's name).
◦    Add the photo or poppet to the red bag with the root and anoint with the Damballah Wedo Oil. Add the ribbons and tie the bag shit tight. Keep in a locked box.

Items needed:

Desire Me Oil
Two 7 day candles one red, one pink
◦    Anoint the candles with the Desire Me oil. Inscribe the name of the one you desire on the red candle and your name on the pink candle. Light the candles and leave them to burn together for 7 days.
Wear the Desire Me oil in the person's presence.

Within four weeks you should have a a response from them.

In a two ounce cobalt glass mixing bottle add the following to a carrier oil:

Lavender 10 drops
Neroli 10 drops
Jasmine 10 drops
Musk 15 drops

Use to anoint the candles in the VOODOO DESIRE SPELL and to wear too.

Source: Everything Under the Moon

◦    Before You Begin: Be Careful This is a rather simple spell, but you are "playing with fire" before bedtime. Make sure you have extinguished all burning things before you cross into slumber. Sprinkle some Jasmine on your pillow, and make sure you have a dream-journal or the like at your bedside to record your dreams in, and brew a cup of mugwort tea. (NOTE: mugwort is unhealthy in large doses, so go easy, and consult an Herbal Reference book if you're worried.) Light blue candles on your altar. If you want to gain insight into your passions or your loves, burn Damiana as well. Watch the smoke as it coils, and allow it to carry you off into the trance-like state that you spend most of the day avoiding. Say whatever comes to mind, appealing to the Goddess or God of your choice to guide your dreams. I usually say something like:
◦    Blessed be the Lord and Lady, For they created the world, The earth to hold,
The sun to warm, The moon to guide, The spirit to dream.
◦    Take sips of the mugwort tea as you repeat the words, gaze into the smoke, and when you feel yourself just about to "cross the line" blow out the candle(s) and say:
◦    "So mote it be."
◦    Go to sleep. Dream away. Just remember, you don't always get to hear what you'd like.

How I miss my disciplined ballet-training... Being in France I always have had to work as much as possible. H has been unemployed most of the time and never wanted any responsiblity for my kids or anything in Sweden so for ten years I've had to finance a double living on my own. It has made me deeply in debt though I have worked often from 8 am to midnight seven days a week at my work as a consultant by phone. The line - due to not mastering the new internet technic - has slowed down and the salaries have decreased enormously. I don't dare not to work and haven't had a vacation (more than a weekend) for more than 10 years.
So no training.
But life goes on!

French pics & "friends"

Window at the tourist.

We had fondue at some very sweet and simple friends of Hängpatte's that he hadn' seen since his teenage years. I liked them a lot although H had to destroy the friendly atmosphere by rude remarks about me helping out and proudly bragging about being late collecting me at the airport (some times up to two hours!!). I could see the couple, who has stuck together since their teens, discomfort.

More from their home.
They were the nicest of H's friends so far AND they understood and spoke English BETTER than the others (among them a vet - zero knowledge, a painter - quoi?, a dentist very mediocre, and "Snake" a teacher embarrasingly low level... How infantile snobbish these people have been these ten years only speaking French!) and the guy, whom H played rugby with before,  works in a factory - his wife takes care of eldery people...

Their home was a mix so far from minimalistic me BUT there was love and it was cosy in an unpretentious way.

I seem to have thing for "the thinker" outside the tourist...

Chocolate stores for Totte...

What were they thinking?!

MEN WHO OPEN DOORS - to be or not to be? - views from the net

Call me oldfashioned but I can't help it  a REAL man opens the door, especially car door.

Below opinions from the net:

I'm an independent woman but I'm a strong believer in manners too. I think a man should open the door for a woman whether it is a car door or whether it's upon entering a building. I think it's wimpy when a man doesn't do this. It's just too rude, in my opinion. I, myself, will open doors for even men if they are entering a building behind me. If they have class, they'll say, "thank you" or pull the door themselves so I won't have to do it as they let me go in front of them. These are the men who are chivalrous and make great impressions on me. As far as the rest who don't...they don't represent much of anything to me.

Yes. It's the proper thing to do.

When on dates, doing something formal, or just to be extra nice. Of course a man should open the door. Its a act of respect not "u r too weak"

Many of you woman will feel slamed for this, but if you don't want me to open your door, don't ask me to kill the spider, get rid of the mouse, shovel the snow. Come to think of it, don't tell me you don't want to get dirty and don't want to help me work in the attic. If you want to be an equal on a technical sense, then be an equal in all.

Women are to be pamperd and cherrished, but women don't forget who you are and treat your man right. We all have roles, men and women are better suited for different stuff.

Now I know some women are getting mad, but hey I speak my heart! I envy women in many ways: they can bring life into this world, are a special tool of God's hand, and outlive us men (LOL) just to mention a few.
It shows that I value her. That I care for her. If I'm going through a door and someone is behind me, then I'll pause for the few seconds that it takes to keep the door from closing on him or her. Common courtesy. The desire to make life a bit easier for others. I also open the car door for both of my daughters. Hopefully I'm keeping their level of expectations high for the kind of behaviour that they like to receive. I'd like them to think highly of themselvs, so that they will choose a caring person for a soul mate.

Its an act of kindness and respect. If women get offended, then they have their hearts in the wrong place. Remember, when the guy walks quickly up to grab that door or offer to help you with your coat its because he had a great mom! (something else you women are better at than us men).

Men - stop acting like neanderthals!

I dont know about car doors, but I was raised with that southern courtesy. Ithink a gentlemen should open a door for a lady. It's just common courtesy. of course I know not everyone believes that. when I went to oregon I got yelled at by some girl. she said (and I remember this very clearly) "what the hell! I can open my own damn door!"

Men have forgotten how to be gentlemen over the last couple of decades. I think the lowering of moral standards, the feminist movement, and just plain laziness have all contributed to it. It's too bad too. I think men and women both enjoyed it more when there was a clear line about what was feminine and what was masculine.

My boyfriend always does that, not just car's door, every door. That is how he shows that he cares for me, I feel respected when he does that. Good manners are always welcome.

It is not what he SHOULD or should NOT do. It's about a good upbringing...

I know she can open a car door... again that is not the issue. There was a time when people had class; and people were glad for it..... now, it's embarassing to not have said class and it's easy to rationalize it away with the unwillinglyness to mature....

There is a time and place for everything... are men required to open car doors for women... No... but it's the decorum and the settting where both parties know that he went above and beyond with that little extra measure of 'service'. We've gotten our priorities mixed up... A good female acquaintance... that's just maintaining a nice respective relation... my wife/girlfriend... gets that because she's my best friend.

I agree with you. I am more of a gentleman with women who do not follow feminist theory. All I have to hear is that a woman is a feminist, then I treat her with the same respect as I do a man, then she can open her own damned door, wait her turn, find her own chair, etc.

I've always thought it to be such a loving gesture from the man - it's not a HAVE to - its a WANT to kind of thing...

It used to be common for a man to open the door or help a woman get out of the car, open a door for them, let them go first, help them to cross the street, etc. Now women do it all and do not need the help of the "opposite sex" ha!

Being treated like a lady is just grand, this generation of independent dames do not know what it feels to be treated with care and respect. and that is really sad.

It's just curtious. It still makes me feel good when my husband opens the door for me, after 32 years. A little kindness goes a long way.

Not allowed to show pics of Hängpatte.
Though he didn't want me to erase the ones I already have put...
"The damage?! is already done..."
Hängpatte told me today that he finds it unfair that I write about him and that I have pics of him on my blog. He believes that's the reason my blog is increasing! Me putting pics and writing a personal "diary" about us and his behaviour... Well, well, well... My blog is so much more than Hängpatte.
What I'm writing is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth from MY perspective so I can't see the harm. It's a kind or catharsis for my soul. I suggested I could erase the rather blur pics I have of him. Nope. Then I gave him the advice not to read my blog. Apparently he can't face what he has done and is doing. Anyhow he won't silence me. It's my blog and I write whatever I need, wish or want on it.
