Lightnings struck 4.40am.
No electricity and the phones
went dead.
H passed by three hours later
so the phones can be loaded/the batteries recharged.
Back to work.

The tenth victim

Pop movie, anyone?

The tenth victim (1965).
Directed by Elio Petri.

Enjoyable and playful by the eye

Struck some luck

Mork's mixed emotions. Season 1 episode 19

My favorite.

Mork's attempt to lock up his emotions
backfires and each of his emotions
boil to the surface.

An up lift for a depressive mind.

Increased value

Comes a day
when you are fed up
being loyal.

Surely I learnt that lesson
the tough way.
If a man's "everything"
equals material/economical security.

Sleep at night

Must have been years ago!

What's it all about

Today a female deliberately
walked right into me
when she noticed her company
was flirting with me
as I passed by a café.
The guy ran after me
 for her behaviour!

Life is a bitch!
In urgent need of cuddles
and passionate lovemaking.
Life is too short to live tepid.

A guardian angel or two

A cyst in my breast

What the poster isn't showing
is how they squeeze your breast
in between the two
see through parts of the machine.
They found a 2 cm opaque cyst
in my right breast
which is constantly hurtful
sending painful sensations
through my arm.

Among all the negativity and complaints H has thrown my way lately
it all explains
my depressive state of mind.

One evening
when I was very low and had been crying
H started accusing me among other things for not liking his friends
(he has seen them, they are a handful, a lot on his own lately). I'm personally not wasting my time nor my energy on people who are ignorant and impolite.
None of them has ever been friendly towards me or my kids.
None of them came to our church wedding in Vongy 11 years ago.
For years I tried to invite them for an evening meal. Results:
The vet with other half "forgot" the invitations twice.
The dentist came once with a girlfriend but never invited us back. Then he blew my molars and punished H and me by not taking a pee break (due to us being 5 minutes late) when we had to follow his car (H didn't know which church outside Lyon it was in) to the dentist's son's first communion.
The mole and his partner have avoided fixing a date.
The last years H didn't want to invite anyone to the old chalet as it was so worn out.

H takes drinks with his friends and eats out with them regularly.
He has lived in this town more or less his entire life.
Who is the foreigner in this town? Who is the one being isolated? Surely not H who has a job in a nearby town, takes his drinks in town without me, misses his bus more often than not in the evening...

H's friends are a bit redneck
not veg., nor cultural, into film, literature or art. Nor caring about the environment.
H criticizes and jokes about them frequently
but damn if I ever noted anything.
So nowadays I stay quiet.

H brought up that he  years ago (in the winter 2000 - soon 14 years ago!) left the mountain chalet the dentist owns and was throwing a party in, just to phone me on his way home to wish me a good night as I was in Sweden. Calling himself an idiot and stating he would never do something as ridiculous again and that he only had done it as he felt forced by me!
Talk about keeping a grudge.
At the time I found it so sweet and was deeply touched.
Hearing it uttered
with such disgust and bile
so many years after
was very sad and heartbreaking.
I tried to explain that such things are common when one is in love.
But H has a hard time
standing back for a female,
letting go of his ego, terrified of caring and giving affection unselfishly.

H continued with false accusations from the beginning of our relationship mixed with the time he cheated on me. Diminishing his adultery.
Not facing his own guilt, part in what happened and filtered through subjective bitterness.
Of course H managed to bring me even lower than before. Which must have been intentional.
Without any doubt I learnt that nowadays as my health is failing I have no interest to him.
H has even become close with Lucifer (his mother) and the Ordure (his brother - the nickname by one of his ex-wives) again.
The final and killing stab was telling me that H the last times we have made love  has been overtaken by anxiety regretting it. (Not explaining why he each time has been telling me he loves me afterwards.)

My only relief is that I at least haven't caught H's herpes.

Amphion, Sunday August 3, 2014

A lot of "action"
on little space in Amphion.

Dawn of the planet of the apes

Not in 3D.
Totally sold out on a Sunday afternoon.
(Why are they allowing
kids around four years old
to watch this kind if movie?!)
Not seated beside oneanother.
Technically amazing.
Poor acting.
Thin predictable storyline.
American Disney values.
Ending that aims for a sequel...
Worthwhile just to kill two hours?
Perhaps not.

Chamonix August 2, 2014

Where André and I took fondue
"Le Monchu", Chamonix,
H prefered the menu.
With the exception
of the timid and sweet
Moldavian waiter
the personel
was close to ignorant and rude.
The fondue with "cèpes"
was delicious
(as long as it was lit)
and the Saint Amour pleasing.

Thank you H
for driving.
