such a lovely idea

It's a duck world

at least mine has become one.

The smallest remains tiny.

Not much of a looker
after the bird of prey attack
Pretty to me though.

Siblings born
with only minutes between them.

Once a duckling
always a duckling?

Fast recovery!
And freedom!

Flat fall

Poor birdie flew into my room and collided full speed into the window facing Lac Léman/Lake Geneva
Flat fall!

"It's your road, and yours alone.
Others may walk it with you,
but no one can walk it for you."

Thanks Nour
for sending me some wisdom

In love...

...with my little duckling
Always been a sucker
for "lost causes".

This summer is rainbow coloured.

My little duckling
was attacked by a bird of prey
some days ago
and bled behind its left eye.
We had enormous rains
the days that followed
so now it sounds
like a broken organ
when it breathes.

I will it to survive!!!

I wonder though
how a poor little bird
can have so much hardship
to go through?

The little duckling's
 two siblings
grow and grow and...
Sadly they attack it.
I have to separate them
when I can't watch over.

Positive people

Good things happen
in yourlife
when you surround yourself
with positive people.

A difference of size...

A difference of size...
Without doubt.
The smallest duckling
remains "miniscule".
And the duck
 is back in the tree
so I expect new ducklings
in about a month or so
around the French nationalday

Muhammad Ali - The Greatest - RIP

Muhammad Ali

(Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr)

Born January 17th 1942-

June 3rd 2016.

Boxing legend, civil rights activist, and cultural icon, Muhammad Ali, died last night at age 74 in Phoenix, Arizona.

In the early 1960s  as a young heavyweight champion he converted to Islam and refused to serve in the Vietnam War. He became an emblem of strength, eloquence, conscience and courage.

“Impossible is just a big word

thrown around by small men

who find it easier to live in the world

they’ve been given

than to explore the power

they have to change it.

Impossible is not a fact.

It’s an opinion.

Impossible is not a declaration.

It’s a dare.

Impossible is potential.

Impossible is temporary.

Impossible is nothing.”

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. His hands can't hit what his eyes can't see. Now you see me, now you don't."

"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth."

“If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it—then I can achieve it."

(Jesse Jackson said this as early as 1983.)

“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”

“If you even dream of beating me

you'd better wake up and apologize.”

“Braggin' is when a person says something and can’t do it. I do what I say.”

"Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even."

“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

"A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”

"A man who has no imagination

has no wings."

"Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn't matter which color does the hating. It's just plain wrong."

“Live everyday as if it were your last because someday you're going to be right."

Paris Open singing in the rain

French Open in tennis
at Roland Garros was wet.
Very wet.

France is under water.
La Seine, the river dividing Paris
into the Left & Right bank,
is rising five cm a day...

What can you do
except dancin' and singin' in the rain
as Gene Kelly in the classical
"Singin' in the rain"
from 1952.

Don Lockwood:

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin',
Singin' in the rain

Dancin' in the rain
Dee-ah dee-ah dee-ah
Dee-ah dee-ah dee-ah
I'm happy again!
I'm singin' and dancin' in the rain!

I'm dancin' and singin' in the rain...

Why am I smiling
And why do I sing?
Why does September
Seem sunny as spring?
Why do I get up
Each morning and start?
Happy and head up
With joy in my heart
Why is each new task
A trifle to do?
Because I am living
A life full of you.

Duckling mystery

How could the smallest
duckling have a needle
Sticking out by his wing to be?!

Mystery of yesterday!
